Cedarcom signs strategic agreement with Fiberlink Networks
BEIRUT, Lebanon, September
16th, 2003 – Cedarcom SAL, a wireless
data networking Services Company and Fiberlink Networks,
the leading corporate ISP signed today a strategic partnership
agreement.
Under the agreement, Cedarcom will provide wireless
last mile access services to Fiberlink corporate clients
in Lebanon, while Fiberlink will offer internet access
services to Cedarcom clients.
"The reciprocal strategic agreement is beneficial
to both companies. However, this is a non-exclusive
agreement, and both companies will have businesses with
other providers. We need to be sure that non-bias relationship
is created under this umbrella", said Camille Nammour,
Sales Manager at Cedarcom.
This is one of several other agreements being negotiated
at the time being with ISPs or IT players in the market.
"We are glad that Cedarcom decided to come into
the market, and we consider it as a viable new alternative
to providing access and last mile connectivity to our
corporate clients. We are sure that Cedarcom will fill
the needed gap in the market" said Selim Mjaess,
Sales Manager at Fiberlink.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Beirut, Cedarcom, SAL is a Lebanese
company holds a wireless data networking and VSAT license
from the Ministry of Telecom. Cedarcom is currently
building its wireless network covering the Lebanese
Republic. Cedarcom offers wireless solutions to ISPs,
banks, multi-branch office companies, and home users.
